Our Story

Ontario Masonry Training Centre (OMTC) is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1990.

Our training centre’s mandate was to implement effective Apprenticeship training for Brick and Stone Masons, Restoration Masons, Stone Cutters, Stone Carvers, and Refractory workers in the residential, industrial, commercial and institutional construction sectors.

Our Mission

As an accredited Training Delivery Agent (TDA) for Ontario, we have expanded the skills breadth and depth of tradespeople.

This effective change in the workforce has improved quality, productivity, and safety with a competitive spirit, as our graduates will attest.

We are dedicated to providing the skilled workers required by the employers and to providing career options to the apprentices.

Our Campuses

Our facilities have a capacity to train over 400 trade related people annually from across Ontario.

We currently have three campuses:

  • Mississauga
  • Ottawa (Orleans)
  • Waterloo (Through the OMCA/Conestoga College Partnership)

Our Partners

The OMTC Partners finance the majority of costs associated with offering top caliber programs to our trades’ people.

We would like to give many thanks to the organizations below

and to the many other masonry industry supporters who donate materials

and equipment for training purposes and community development projects!
