Drop In Program – New Entrant
The OMTC drop-in masonry training program will give you basic trade skills and knowledge that, when successfully completed, will give you the job relevant skills for employment.  Please note it is not a level 1 apprenticeship program.
Program Overview
The Masonry Training for Indigenous Groups program will provide classroom and hands-on training, with wrap around supports through the Aboriginal Apprenticeship Board of Ontario (AABO) to help Indigenous people from various communities in Ontario work through the course material, with on line resources to support their study.  There would be support from both the technical aspect through OMTC and the personal support through AABO to help participants successfully complete the program. We would provide successful participants who complete the program with a tool kit, a PPE kit and all mandatory health and safety certifications.
Support will be provided to the students for the in the school and work placements segments of this program. The training coordinators will work with OMTC instructors to create a positive learning environment
How to register for the program
  • As a new entrant you will have to fill out the registration form for the program here.  Please make sure that you answer all of the mandatory questions then once you complete the form hit “submit”.  You will be contacted by an OMTC/AABO representative, and an interview time will be set up.
