The Pre-Apprenticeship Program helps people who aren’t working in masonry yet but want to learn the basics.
It teaches them the skills and knowledge they need to impress masonry employers.
Once they finish, they can apply for an Apprentice Position and start the official “Apprenticeship Program”.
This program is FREE! There is NO Tuition!
All thanks to the Government of Ontario for fully funding the program. The program will also provide you the following items:
There is also PAID Work Placement after the training!
When you successfully complete the training, we will match you with a masonry employer to apply what you learned on a jobsite!
Program has two parts: In-School Training & Work Placement Training
In-School “Year 1 Ready Stream”: 4.5 months more or less
Paid Work Placement: 2 months minimum
In-School “Try a Trade Stream”: 2 months more or less
Paid Work Placement: 2 months minimum

Applicants must provide the following three required documents (We only need 1 document per category)
1) Proof of Age – 18 years old or higher
Ontario/Canadian Registration Card
Ontario Photo Card (New Ontario ID Card)
Passport (Valid or Expired)
2) Proof of SIN – Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Residence
Government Income Tax Form
Record of Employment (ROE)
3) Proof of Education – Completion of Grade 10 or higher
Academy Upgrade Certificate
Postsecondary Certificate, Diploma or Degree
If education is not from Canada, you need to have it assessed by ICAS at
www.icascanada.ca or any other approved Education Credential Assessment Centres.
Students will learn to safely and properly operate hand and power tools, as well as equipment commonly found on construction sites. They will also have opportunities to use masonry materials and supplies for practicing the selection, preparation, and installation of masonry materials.
Upon completing this program, graduates may be eligible for exemption from the Level 1 in-school Apprenticeship Program if they decide to pursue a traditional Apprenticeship Program
