About this Program
This program was designed to prepare individuals for entry into formal apprenticeship programs or skilled trades. They serve as a stepping stone to help individuals acquire the foundational skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in an apprenticeship.
If you have the passion for the Brick and Stone Masonry trade but lack the skills to be hired by a Masonry employer, to start the traditional Apprenticeship Program, then this starter program may be just for you!

What Will You Learn
Students will learn to safely and properly operate hand and power tools as well as equipment found on the construction site. You will also have opportunities to use masonry materials and supplies to practice the selection, preparation and installation of masonry materials.
A graduate from this program may be exempt from the Level 1 in-school Apprenticeship Program, should you choose to pursue a traditional Apprenticeship Program.
