About this Program
The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program is a high school program that allows you to try a huge variety of apprenticeship-based careers in skilled trades, starting in Grade 11 or Grade 12 through the Cooperative Education program. For this instance, our training centre’s skilled trade focus is Brick and Stone Masonry.
Students have an opportunity to become registered apprentices and work towards becoming certified journeypersons in a skilled trade while completing their secondary school diplomas.
What Will You Learn
Students will learn to safely and properly operate hand and power tools as well as equipment found on the construction site. You will also have opportunities to use masonry materials and supplies to practice the selection, preparation and installation of masonry materials.
